Competition Formats
Drone Racing
Students fly through gates, turns and technical sections, aiming for speed, control and consistency. Racing develops hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, reaction speed and calm decision-making under pressure.
Drone Football
Drone football combines STEM, sport and teamwork. Students pilot protected drones in an arena-style game where strategy, accuracy and team communication are essential.
Timed Obstacle Courses
Students fly through gates, turns and technical sections, aiming for speed, control and consistency. Racing develops hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, reaction speed and calm decision-making under pressure.
King of the Hill
A tactical drone game where pilots compete to control a target zone for the longest time. Students must balance attack, defence, positioning and control.
Coding Challenges
Students programme drones to complete routes, manoeuvres or missions. These challenges reward accuracy, planning, debugging and computational thinking.
Engineering Challenge
Teams prepare, maintain and optimise their drones before competition. Students are assessed on teamwork, problem-solving, technical understanding and safe equipment handling.
